For over 25 years Dominic voluntarily took movies for Brewster High School and then Fairless High School football and basketball teams. He was instrumental in having the press box installed in the Fairless Gymnasium. For 27 years Dominic coordinated the American Legion Buckeye Boys State Program with Fairless High School. In those 27 years he helped send over 180 boys from the Fairless School District to attend The American Legion Boys State Program. Dominic worked tirelessly to benefit all military veterans. He was instrumental in the revitalization of the Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Brewster. In 1981 Dominic was elected American Legion State Commander and traveled throughout Ohio to improve the lives of all military veterans.

Tom began his career in education in Richmond Indiana where he taught and coached three sports. He was the Head Coach at Sandy Valley High School and was the Head Coach and later Athletic Director at Perry High School. He was selected Stark County Football Coach of the Year in 1969. In 1981, Tom accepted the Fairless High School Principal position and 1 year later became Superintendent of Fairless Local Schools. In 1988, Tom was hired as Superintendent of R.G. Drage Career center, a position he retired from in 1992. He left retirement to accept the interim Superintendent position at Louisville City Schools. Tom was elected to the Perry Local Board of Education, but resigned from the Board to accept the position of Superintendent of Perry Local Schools. In addition to coaching and his work in administration, Tom taught History, Government, Biology and Driver’s Education. His entire career in education spanned 40 years.

Vickie evaluates children and adults with various problems, including birth defects, chromosomal abnormalities, and genetic disorders which include skin findings. She and her husband Dr. David Joyce live in Avon Lake, Ohio and are the proud parents of two children, Katherine, who is in medical school, and Michael, who is a mental health therapist. Vickie is indebted to her junior high science teacher, Mr. Donald Nichols, for sparking her interest in science and to her high school biology teacher, Mr. Craig Hildebrand, who introduced her to the wonders of genetics.

He continued playing baseball at Malone University where he was named NAIA District All-Star Best Offensive Player, Team MVP, and 2nd Team All American. In 1978, Mick had a try-out in Three River Stadium for the San Diego Padres, he was signed on the spot and played Class A baseball for the Walla Walla Padres in Walla Walla, Washington - the Class A affiliate for the Padres. He played Class A baseball for Canton and pro-softball for Cleveland. In 1993, he was elected to the Stark County Amatuer Baseball Hall of Fame.
In 1975, Mick was a member of the baseball and basketball teams who both went to the regionals - he is one of only four Fairless athletes to have done so.
Mick has been a life-long supporter of Fairless Local Schools through service groups.

Jan’s professional career as a teacher, Assistant Professor, Editor, and Professor is impressive. She has taught at the University of Akron, Rice University, Washington University, the University of Arizona, and the American University.
She is a published research author whose work has appeared in dozens of scholarly journals. Her research has produced grants in excess of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Her main focus has been on voting behavior.

From 1980-2007, John served on the Stark County Educational Service Center Board of Education.
John partnered with his brother Ralph to own and operate Regula Brothers Milk Transport with for over 50 years. He was an active member of the Beach City Lions Club, Grange, and United Methodist Church. He also volunteered for Meals on Wheels, was a member of the Stark County Fair Beef Committee, and various other community activities.
Above all, John was a family man married for over 58 years to his wife Rhea and dad to his four children - Joyce, Tim, Barb, and Pam.

Benjamin Franklin Williams Fairless was born in 1890 in Pigeon Run, Ohio to David and Ruth Williams. When he was two years old, his mother was badly injured in a buggy accident, and Ben went to live with his aunt and uncle in Justus, Ohio. Ben stayed with the Fairless family and eventually was adopted by Sarah and Jacob Fairless thus becoming known as Benjamin F. Fairless. Ben graduated from Justus High School in 1907 and at the age of 17 became a teacher and janitor at Riverdale and Rockville Schools near Navarre, Ohio. He attended Wooster College and Ohio Northern University where he studied Civil Engineering. In 1913 he became a civil engineer for the Wheeling & Lake Erie railroad. At age 23, Mr. Fairless worked as a surveyor for the Central Steel Company in Massillon, Ohio. He climbed the ranks and became the manager and vice president of Republic Steel in Youngstown, Ohio. From 1938-1952 he served as President of the United States Steel Corporation, and from 1952-1955, he served as Chairman and CEO of that same company. During that time, he served on President Dwight Eisenhower’s committee of Citizen Advisers on foreign aid. Mr. Fairless retired in 1955 from U.S. Steel but remained president of the American Iron and Steel Institute until his death. Mr. Fairless was married in 1912 to the late Mrs. Blanche Truby Fairless, a school teacher. They had one son, Blaine. In 1944 Fairless married the former Mrs. Hazel Hatfield Sproul. Benjamin F. Fairless passed away in Ligonier, Pa on Jan. 1, 1962 at the age of 71.

Louis Marini, Jr. is a 1963 graduate of Fairless High School who grew up in Beach City. Lou is a well-known saxophonist, arranger, and composer. He is one of the original members of the Saturday Night Live Band and Blues Brothers Band. Lou still tours world-wide with the Blues Brothers Band as well as accompanying singer James Taylor in his "Band of Legends.” "Blue Lou" has played with some of the industry's most prominent bands and musicians including the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Billy Preston, Frank Zappa, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Tony Bennett, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Doc Severinson, Luther Vandross, just to name a few.

Louis Marini, Sr., graduated from Mount Union College and earned his Master’s Degree from Vander Cook. He was the former band director of Fairless High School and composer of the Fairless High School Alma Mater. He taught at Bowling Green State University for 15 years, where in addition to teaching woodwinds, arranging, and conducting the jazz band, he wrote over 180 arrangements for the Bowling Green Falcon Marching band.
Mr. Ted Provost

MR. TED PROVOSTDISTINGUISHED FAIRLESS FALCONSCLASS OF 2010 |
Born July 26, 1948 in Navarre, OH. As a high school athlete at Fairless High School, Ted Provost lettered three seasons as a quarterback and defensive back. Ted was also outstanding in basketball and track. He qualified for the state finals in track his senior year. He was inducted into the Stark County High School Football Hall of Fame in 2004.
Mr. Provost attended the Ohio State University from 1967 to 1969. He was a key member of the 1968 national championship team as a safety. He was twice an All Big Ten All Star (1968 and 1969) and was an All-American in 1969. He was inducted into the Ohio State Varsity O Hall of Fame in 2006.
He was drafted by the Rams in the 1970 NFL Draft and traded to the Vikings. He played with Minnesota in 1970 and the Cardinals in 1971.
Provost continued as a professional with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League from 1972 to 1977. He was twice named an All-Star.
Ted Provost has been successful after his football career as the owner of Ted Provost Builders, a construction company in Hilliard, OH. He and his wife Ruth have three children.

MR. RALPH REGULADISTINGUISHED FAIRLESS FALCONSCLASS OF 2010 |
Ralph Regula was born in Beach City, Ohio on Dec. 3, 1924 to Oscar and Orpha Regula. He graduated from Beach City High School in 1942 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946. Mr. Regula attended Mount Union College and the William McKinley School of Law. He served as a teacher and administrator in Stark County, Ohio, became a member of the Ohio Board of Education, was elected to the Ohio House and Ohio Senate before becoming a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Ohio’s 16th District on Jan. 3, 1972. Mr. Regula served 18 consecutive terms and retired on Jan. 3, 2009.
Congressman Regula was the ranking minority member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee for Labor, Health, Human Services and Education funding in the 110th Congress in which his committee was in charge of over $140 billion.
Although Mr. Regula is a Republican, he crossed party lines many times to do what was best for our nation. The former congressman has always been a friend of education and has supported numerous projects at several area colleges and universities including Malone, Walsh, Mt. Union, NEOUCOM, and Stark State. Not only has Mr. Regula served the local communities by directing Federal monies back to Ohio by championing such initiatives as the Towpath Trail, improvement of reading skills, development of teacher training programs, and fuel cell technology, but he has also increased by millions of dollars the amount of federal money committed to research in fighting cancer, heart disease and birth defects.
Recently, a new Federal Building was constructed in Canton, Ohio and was named after him. Mary and Ralph Regula have three children, Martha, David, and Richard, and four grandchildren.
